Conveyancing Foundation Charity Grant Scheme – Terms and Conditions

About the Grant Scheme

  • The Conveyancing Foundation Charity Grant Scheme was a first for the property industry when it launched in 2023, providing an opportunity for individuals in the sector to apply for a grant of up to £1,000 in support of their Nominated Charity. 
  • The scheme is designed to boost fundraising efforts by providing additional support to individuals who are actively taking part in a fundraising event or challenge for their Nominated Charity. 
  • All funding is made possible through the generous contributions of our partners.

Eligibility

  • You work in or are associated with the property industry. 
  • You are nominating a UK-registered charity, social enterprise, or community interest company that is meaningful to you. 
  • The Nominated Charity is aware of and supports your fundraising activity. 
  • You (as the individual) have not submitted a nomination to this scheme in the last 12 months. 
  • The Nominated Charity has not received a grant from the Conveyancing Foundation Charity Grant Scheme in the last 12 months.

Application Process

  • The application must be completed by the individual nominating the charity. 
  • Following the application review, the applicant may be contacted for further information and the application will not be progressed until all information is provided.

Use of Funds

  • All grant funds will be paid directly to the Nominated Charity, not the individual. 
  • The funding must be used to support the Nominated Charity’s work as described in the nomination and agreed upon in the charity’s follow-up form. 
  • The grant is intended to complement existing fundraising efforts, not replace them.

Responsibilities of the Nominator

  • You agree to provide accurate information about your fundraising activity and your relationship with the Nominated Charity. 
  • You agree to assist the Conveyancing Foundation in liaising with the Nominated Charity where appropriate (e.g., providing contact details or introductions). 
  • You agree to participate in publicity opportunities related to your fundraising and the grant, if awarded.

Data Protection

  • All personal data provided will be handled in accordance with GDPR and the Conveyancing Foundation privacy policy  
  • You confirm that you have the Nominated Charity’s permission to share their contact details with the Conveyancing Foundation.

Fraud Prevention and Verification

  • All checks will be carried out in line with the Conveyancing Foundation’s Due Diligence Policy for Payment of Charity Funds, which is available upon request. 
  • The Conveyancing Foundation reserves the right to carry out identity and fraud prevention checks on both the Nominator and Nominated Charity. 
  • If false or misleading information is discovered, the Conveyancing Foundation may withdraw the grant or decline the nomination.

Limitations and Discretion 

  • Submitting a nomination does not guarantee funding. 
  • Grant awards are made at the sole discretion of the Board of the Conveyancing Foundation. Decisions will be made by a quorum of Board members in accordance with the Foundation’s governance procedures. The Board reserves the right to approve or decline any application without obligation to provide feedback. 
  • Any changes will not affect grants that have been approved and confirmed in writing, subject to the adherence of the aforementioned terms.
  • Upon receipt of the approval of the grant by the Nominator, the Nominator shall have a period of 12 months within which to enrol in the designated course. Failure to book or commence the course within this specified timeframe may result in the Conveyancing Foundation revoking the grant in its entirety, at its sole discretion.
