This specialist online course is designed specifically for the conveyancing sector, giving staff the confidence to support each other and champion wellbeing in the workplace.

About The Conveyancing Foundation (MHC) Course

In the fast-paced world of conveyancing, stress, anxiety, and burnout are all too common. Tight deadlines, complex cases, and high client expectations can take a toll, yet many of us are unprepared to spot the signs or offer the right support.

This 4-hour engaging and interactive course goes beyond basic awareness. You’ll learn how to recognise the signs of common mental health issues such as stress, anxiety, and depression. You’ll gain essential skills to initiate supportive conversations and offer vital support when it matters most. we’ll also cover suicide prevention and early intervention, equipping you with the tools to respond quickly and confidently.

As a conveyancer, you face high-stakes situations daily. Now, it’s time to prioritise mental health – for yourself and your team.

Course Details

  • 4 hour session of interactive group training delivered online.
  • Suitable for those working within the property industry who would like to learn more about mental health & wellbeing and how to support their friends, colleagues or team members.
  • Led by expert Mental Health Trainer, Sharron Moffatt.
  • Participants receive provision of a downloadable PDF containing key takeaways and useful resources.
  • Limited number of part funded places are available. Funded by the Conveyancing Foundation Mental Health Training Grant Scheme.

Key Learning Outcomes

This course is designed to give participants the skills, knowledge, and confidence to support mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  • Understand what Mental Health is and how it affects individuals in the workplace.
  • Understand stigma in the workplace and why language matters.
  • Understand the Mental Health Continuum and how Mental health is fluid and fluctuates over time.
  • Understand stress and how to manage stress levels.
  • Understand and identify the signs and symptoms of common Mental Health issues, including stress, anxiety, depression and panic disorder.
  • Confidently manage difficult conversations around mental health with empathy and understanding.
  • Understand how to offer immediate support to colleagues facing mental health challenges and direct them to appropriate support.
  • Understand the importance of early intervention and how to respond to risk of suicide.
  • Identify strategies for looking after your own mental health and managing stress effectively.
  • Access available resources and support services to maintain mental wellbeing at work.

Note: This course covers key topics, including panic attacks  and suicide. Please note: Some of the content may be sensitive. Your wellbeing is important, and you will be supported throughout.

Each course is held over 1 day and split into 2 x 2 hour sessions.

Following completion of your training you will be issued with a certificate of achievement and be provided access to services for signposting and additional resources.

Through the Conveyancing Foundation Mental Health Training Grant Scheme, we have a limited number of part funded places available. Please register below to secure your place.

Meet the Trainer – Sharron Moffatt

Sharron Moffatt (MHFA) is a mental health trainer, guest speaker, and cancer awareness ambassador with over 30 years of experience in the health and fitness industry. Drawing on her lived experience with depression and anxiety, she empowers workplaces to prioritise mental wellbeing and foster compassionate, supportive cultures.

A qualified MHFA England Instructor Member, Sharron delivers engaging and practical training sessions that equip individuals with the confidence to recognise, support, and respond to mental health challenges. Her approach is rooted in real-world experience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to driving meaningful change in the workplace. She regularly collaborates with organisations across sectors to raise awareness, and has been featured in podcasts and events dedicated to creating healthier, more supportive work environments.

FAQs

Any individual working within the property industry such as within a law firm, legal supplier, estate agency, mortgage brokerage etc in the UK can apply for funding to support staff participation in the MHC training course.

The grant funding helps subsidise the cost of the Mental Health Champion (MHC) Course, contributing towards course delivery, training materials, and certification. Limited grant spaces are available.

The course is delivered entirely online via Zoom, making it accessible from any location.

The training is split into two live 2-hour sessions held on the same day, designed to minimise disruption to your staff’s daily workflow.

The course is led by Sharron Moffatt, a mental health trainer, guest speaker, and cancer awareness ambassador with over 30 years in the Health and Fitness industry.

Participants will receive an official certificate of completion, branded with the Conveyancing Foundation logo and issued by Today’s Training.

Yes. Firms can enrol multiple participants into the course but should confirm the number of places required before applying should they wish to apply for a grant funded place.

Yes. Training is offered on several fixed dates throughout the year. Depending on demand, additional dates may be announced.
