Wellbeing at Work promotes mental health awareness, support, and cultural change across the conveyancing profession. It’s about empowering our industry to talk openly about mental health and take practical steps to support each other.

LawCare: Life in the Law

Wellbeing at Work Week 2025 opened with an exclusive look at the newly released Life in the Law Survey, hosted by Elizabeth Rimmer (LawCare) with Marc Lansdell (Evolve Law) and Charlotte Moore (Thomas Flavell & Sons).

The discussion highlighted that 78% of legal professionals work beyond their contracted hours and 56% have considered leaving their role within five years, reflecting growing pressure across the sector. The panel explored how leadership, workload management, and open communication can help create healthier, more supportive workplaces where wellbeing is truly prioritised.

Breaking the Silence: Men’s Mental Health Stigma

In one of the most powerful sessions of Wellbeing at Work Week 2025, Henry Crosby and Francis Lloyd-Cummings shared deeply personal accounts of their experiences with mental health, stress, and burnout.

Henry opened with a deeply moving story of waking up one morning completely paralysed – a moment that made him realise he had reached breaking point and needed help. In this session, Henry and Francis explored the pressures men face to “keep it in,” the toll of silence, and how vulnerability can be a turning point toward recovery and strength.

Thriving Through Change: Menopause and Mental Wellbeing

Nicola Green – Nicola Green Consultancy

In this insightful and empowering session, Nicola Green opened up an honest conversation about the real impact of menopause on mental wellbeing. Drawing on both personal experience and professional expertise, Nicola explored how hormonal changes can affect mood, confidence, and emotional health, while breaking down myths and stigma surrounding menopause.

Attendees gained practical tools to manage symptoms, support colleagues, and foster understanding in the workplace. The session closed with a thoughtful Q&A, giving participants the opportunity to seek Nicola’s expert advice and continue a conversation that is long overdue.
