‘Samuels Promise’ a Special Named Fund of the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group, has been awarded a grant of £2000 through the Conveyancing Foundation’s Charity Grant Scheme.
This commendation came as a result of a nomination by Aconveyancing, a UK based residential conveyancing company, that regularly supports and raises funds for Samuel’s promise.
The Conveyancing Foundation is a zero-profit registered charity whose purpose is to enhance the lives of those in the property industry and to support charity fundraising initiatives in the conveyancing, legal and property industries. The Foundation’s innovative Charity Grant Scheme was created to provide individuals in the conveyancing industry with an opportunity to secure grant funding of up to £2,000 for their chosen charitable endeavours.
The Foundation has raised almost £1 million for charity since its launch in 2010, which has helped to support deserving causes and charities of all sizes, including Cancer Research UK, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice and Many Tears Animal Rescue, to name just a few.
Katharine Saunders from Aconveyancing, who nominated Samuels Promise for the Grant, was delighted to receive the news from the Conveyancing Foundation, commending its innovative scheme for setting high standards of charitable work across the property industry.
Katharine said: “All of our charity partners are picked by Aconveyancing staff. Samuel’s Promise was nominated as many staff were connected to Samuel before he died in 2022 from a paediatric brain tumour.
Samuel’s family set up the charity to raise funds for much-needed research into paediatric brain tumours and surgical enhancements. The charity is working to ensure research into children’s brain tumours. It is a new charity and our support will make a huge difference.”
The team from Aconveyancing are organising a charity fundraising event called ‘It’s A Knockout’ to raise funds for Samuel’s Promise. The event aims to bring together partners, clients, friends, and firms to participate in a fun-filled afternoon of team activities.
Conveyancing Foundation Chairman Lloyd Davies commented: “We are absolutely delighted to announce that Samuels Promise, nominated by Aconveyancing, has been awarded a well-deserved grant of £2000 through The Conveyancing Foundation’s Charity Grant Scheme. The dedication of Aconveyancing in supporting Samuels Promise has been truly remarkable. We are thrilled to further support their cause, enabling the charity to continue its vital work in funding research into low-grade brain tumours and surgical advancements.”
