Direction Law join the Charity Lotto

The Conveyancing Foundation would like to welcome Direction Law as the latest legal practice to sign up to the Charity Lotto.

The legal practice, with offices in Wells, Birmingham, London and Kent has over 40 years of experience and specialises in affordable housing and new build conveyancing. Direction Law currently work with a number of charities and voluntary organisations within both the local community and the housing sector.

Direction Law has now implemented their Charity Lotto, with the assistance of the Conveyancing Foundation, to raise funds for their chosen charities.

From November 2020, Direction Law will be using the competition to help raise funds to support the More Than Homes fund. Set up in 2020, with the Trussell Trust and Accent Housing, the More Than Homes Grant Fund aims to raise an initial target of £1million towards the rising number of people claiming universal credit and an increase in demand of over 80% at food banks across the UK as a direct result of the Covid-19 crisis.

“We’d been keen to partner with the Conveyancing Foundation for a while but when the Covid pandemic hit we ended up putting it on hold.  Then in September last year we heard about the More Than Homes campaign and thought it was the ideal charity for us to support. Much of our work is for clients buying shared ownership properties through a Housing Association and More Than Homes is supported by the sector. Also, their food banks are nationwide and therefore relevant to all of our offices.  We’re hoping our clients join with us in raising money for this worthwhile cause whilst also having a chance to win themselves some money.” – Direction Law
