Lewis Thomas | The Letting Partnership

The Conveyancing Foundation, in partnership with its charitable partners, proudly contributed a £250 grant to Lewis Thomas at The Letting Partnership. Lewis and the team walked 100km during a two day challenge in September, to raise funds for the Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, a Brighton based charity which supports sick and disabled children across Sussex.

The Foundation’s Charity Grant Scheme launched in 2023, aims to support charity initiatives driven by those working in the conveyancing industry. The scheme offers grant funding of up to £2,000 to boost fundraising efforts for the chosen charities.

Charity Grant Recipient: Lewis Thomas, The Letting Partnership
Fundraising Challenge: TLP’s Charity Team take on The 100km Challenge!
Charity: Rockinghorse Children’s Charity

Lewis Thomas and his team at The Letting Partnership received a £250 grant from the Conveyancing Foundation to help them raise funds as they took on an epic 100km walk for Rockinghorse Children’s Charity. The Conveyancing Foundation was delighted to get behind this amazing cause, supporting the team as they set out to make a real difference for sick and disabled children across Sussex.

With a powerful commitment and show of solidarity the team of four set out full of energy and enthusiasm on their two day, 100km challenge. However, it wasn’t long before injury struck. On day one, one of the team sadly had to pull out due to injury. Backed by support and encouragement the team agreed to press on and remained in good spirits, determined to make it as a trio to the end.

However, day two brought even more challenges. As the team pressed on through uneven terrain, two more members were forced to stop due to injuries, leaving Lewis to tackle the remaining distance alone. With his team taking some rest to recover, they continued to cheer him on from the side lines. In a final twist, as Lewis approached the last leg (5km) the team pulled together their strength and come together as one, crossing the finish line and completing the epic challenge side by side.

The Letting Partnership initially aimed to raise £1,000 for Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, but thanks to the incredible support of sponsorships and donations, they exceeded expectations, raising an incredible £1,328.75! Every penny will go to Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, helping them to continue their essential work supporting children across Sussex.

Jess Smith, Trustee and COO of the Conveyancing Foundation, reflected on their achievement commenting:

“The Letting Partnership’s journey was one of true determination and grit. What started as a team challenge turned into a solo marathon for Lewis, but they showed incredible resilience by sticking together for the final stretch. Their commitment to supporting Rockinghorse Children’s Charity is a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we put our hearts into it.”

There’s still time to support Lewis and the team! Head over to their JustGiving Page and make a donation today.
