Charity Grant Recipient: Lorna Hook, David James
Fundraising Challenge: David James Hearty Walk
Charity: British Heart Foundation

The team at David James took on the David James Hearty Walk, covering approximately 22 miles of the Cotswold Way, from Painswick to their office in Wotton-under-Edge, to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation (BHF). The BHF funds life-saving medical research to combat heart and circulatory diseases.

The walk, which took place on Saturday, 7th September, was a true team collaboration effort, with some walking the entire 22 miles, while others joined for stages along the route. The event was dedicated to their beloved colleague, Ginny Thompson, who tragically passed away in 2023 following a cardiac arrest. Ginny worked with David James for over 14 years and was a cherished friend and colleague.

The team initially set a target of £5,000 but exceeded expectations, raising an astounding £12,819 for their fundraising efforts!

Jess Smith, Trustee and COO of the Conveyancing Foundation, expressed her heartfelt support:
“What the team at David James has accomplished is truly moving. Walking 22 miles in memory of their colleague Ginny, and raising such an incredible amount for the British Heart Foundation, shows their deep sense of community and care. It’s not just about the distance they walked, but the love and dedication behind it. We’re so proud to have supported their journey and to see the real difference they’re making for such an important cause.”
