Conveyancing Foundation raises £50,000 for Children with Cancer UK

Conveyancing Foundation founder members Convey Law, raised £50,000 for Children with Cancer through the Conveyancing Foundation Charity Lotto.

Over the course of the last 5 years the Charity Lotto has raised over £440,000 for charity with over £86,101.37 being raised in 2016.

Three individuals from Convey Law – Lloyd Davies, Rory Brown and Geraint Aubrey, took part in the Children with Cancer Three Peaks National Challenge in September 2016, climbing Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowden in 24 hours.

Conveyancing Foundation Chairman Lloyd Davies commented:

“The Charity Lotto is a fantastic opportunity for conveyancers to raise funds for their chosen charity. The conveyancing legal practices choose a charity that they want their donations to help. Wilson Nesbitt Solicitors and Bright LLP joined the competition last year and are now busy raising thousands of pounds for their chosen charities.

“It would not have been possible for Convey Law to raise £50,000 for Children with Cancer last year without the help of our clients through the Conveyancing Foundation Charity Lotto. Approximately 80% of our clients make a £10.00 donation on completion of their property transaction, with £1.00 going towards the £500.00 monthly lottery draw and £9.00 collecting gift aid, making every donation a minimum of £11.25 for charity. This is a fantastic competition and one that all conveyancing legal practices can take part in. The competition is very easy to implement – a full took kit and details of how the competition works is available on the Foundation website at www.conveyancingfoundation.org.uk.”
