Lloyd Davies Hospitalised After 5in55 Mountaineering Charity Event!

Between the 4th and 7th July Conveyancing Association Operations Director Lloyd Davies climbed the 5 Highest Mountains in the UK in 55 hours. The challenge was part of an inspirational quest with 10 Dads whose families have used the Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice.

The team climbed a combined height of 5,187m and covered over 36 miles in total! This challenge was about the Ty Hafan Dads pushing themselves, inspiring others, forging friendships and proving, once again, that the Dads are stronger together. This is a group of Dads who, regardless of their current destination, are walking the same journey in life and now want to walk together to inspire others and themselves. Everyone in the team completed the mammoth expedition, despite the extremely warm weather conditions.

Lloyd Davies commented:

“It was a tough challenge, undertaken by an inspirational group of men. Collectively the Ty Hafan Dads are a formidable team and everyone pulled together to make sure we all completed the expedition and had a lot of fun as well as some very poignant times along the journey. I got into trouble with my feet after the second mountain and after we completed Snowdon I knew that I was in trouble with my big toe! We climbed the last two monsters and then my wife took me straight to A&E where I spent two days on an antibiotic drip and had an operation on my toe under General Anaesthetic on the Monday!!

It was a fantastic trip and one that I would not have missed for the world. The 555 Ty Hafan Dads and team were all amazing and it has been a privilege to have been a part of such an inspirational group of men and to have completed such a massive mountaineering challenge for such a wonderful charity!!”
