Over £13,000 donated to Velindre!

The Conveyancing Foundation has donated over £13,000 to Velindre Cancer Centre in support of an employee, James Smith, who had been attending the centre to receive chemotherapy treatment for testicular cancer.

The funds were raised by the Convey Law team through their clients taking part in the Conveyancing Foundation’s Charity Lotto, where clients of any legal practice or property company can donate a voluntary £10 at the end of their transaction, giving them a chance to win £500 in a monthly draw.

James has been given a full bill of health and returned to Velindre Cancer Centre to present the nurses with a cheque for £13,185.00, which will provide much needed funds for the Hospital to continue to provide excellent care for those in need.

Andrew Morris, Head of Fundraising, Velindre, has said:

“On behalf of Velindre Cancer Centre, I would like to thank you for your kind donation of £13,185.00 raised through the Conveyancing Foundation Charity lotto in gratitude for the treatment received by James during his time at Velindre. Please send our extended thanks to all colleagues who helped to achieve this amazing amount. We hope to see James and friends at many of our events in the future. Your support is sincerely appreciated and makes a huge difference to patients and their families.”
