Wilson Nesbitt raise over £20,000 for charity with Charity Lotto
Northern Ireland-based law firm, Wilson Nesbitt have raised an impressive £20,000 for charity with the Conveyancing Foundation Charity Lotto.
The firm, which has offices in both Belfast and Bangor and provides professional legal services to business and private individuals across a range of legal issues, implemented the Charity Lotto in 2016. Over the course of the last five years the firm has raised over £20,000 for its chosen charities.
Ian Creighton, Director in the Residential Property Team said: “We’re delighted to be involved with the Conveyancing Foundation Charity Lotto which our clients regularly comment on as being a great initiative. We are thankful to them for their eagerness to take part and over these past few years their donations have helped a large number of charities dealing with issues such as homelessness, providing support to victims of domestic abuse, cancer, mental health issues, and support to food banks across Northern Ireland.”
The Charity Lotto allows firms to raise funds for charity by asking their clients to pay £10 at the end of their property transaction to be entered into a monthly prize draw. The winner of which receives a £500 contribution to assist with the payment of their legal fees.
Having been boosted by a growing number of firms signing up for the Charity Lotto, the amount raised since its inception in 2010 has now breached the £800k mark.
