Conveyancing Foundation Shortlisted for Prestigious Investors In People Awards 2016
The Conveyancing Foundation has been named as a leader in corporate responsibility, having been shortlisted in the Excellence in Social Responsibility category (up to 249 employees) in the third annual Investors in People (IIP) Awards.
Finalists in the IIP awards are expected to demonstrate that social responsibility is not just a policy; it’s driven from the top and rooted in the culture of the whole organisation.
The awards, which received over 300 entries internationally, celebrate the best people management practices amongst Investors in People accredited businesses. Winners are announced at a spectacular awards ceremony and dinner on 29 June 2016 at Old Billingsgate, London. Finalists represent the best of the best worldwide.
The Foundation was shortlisted for its particular achievements in its ability to produce a company wide engaging charity fundraising programme. The Conveyancing Foundation Charity Lotto has the potential to raise thousands of pounds for worthwhile causes every year and has helped to raise in excess of £375,000 over the last five years.
The judges highlighted their approach to social responsibility, saying: “This is a strong and innovative entry, which goes beyond traditional CSR activity by attempting to initiate change at an industry level rather than just seeking intra-organisational change.”
The awards categories recognise the accredited organisations that have achieved the highest standards. There are a range of categories, focusing on the main elements of what it means to be an Investor in People, from Excellence in Leadership and Management to Excellence in Social Responsibility to Leader of the Year and Best Newcomer. The Awards provide the opportunity to benchmark against high performing organisations globally.
Lloyd Davies, of the Conveyancing Foundation said: “It is a privilege to be shortlisted for this award; a clear indication of the dedication and hard work the team has invested. I am immensely proud of the Conveyancing Foundation team. Their passion for fundraising is really inspirational, and everyone takes part in some way. I am also delighted we have received such support from the UK conveyancing industry in adopting the Charity Lotto to raise even more money for great causes in 2016 and into the future.”
Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: “Once again we have been overwhelmed by the number and calibre of entries received for the Investors in People Awards. It’s fantastic to see so many organisations nominated for outperforming in their sector, demonstrating great people management practice and a commitment to staff development.”
