Jill White’s Inspirational Journey: A Conveyancing Foundation Charity Grant Recipient Runs 50-Miles for MND Association
The Charity Grant Scheme is open to anyone in the property industry taking part in an event or challenge for a charity close to their hearts.
Jill White, the Senior Partner Services Manager at Smoove, embraced the ‘Run 25 Miles in December’ challenge with a heartfelt mission – to support the Motor Neurone Disease Association. This cause holds a special place in Jill’s heart, driven by the memory of her late mother, Joyce, who lost her battle to Motor Neurone Disease 23 years ago. Going above and beyond, Jill not only met the initial challenge but doubled her efforts, ultimately conquering an impressive total of 50 running miles for this meaningful cause.
“It was an incredible experience, and I’m so proud of myself for completing the 50-mile run throughout December 2023,” said Jill. “The knowledge that I was running with a purpose – supporting a noble cause – served as a constant source of motivation throughout the race. It was both challenging and immensely gratifying. I am thrilled to have successfully taken on this challenge.”
“I like, many of us, have lost dear and precious family members and 23 years ago I lost the most amazing, beautiful and loving mother to the cruel disease of MND – Motor Neurone Disease.”
“Mum taught us as a family the importance of health and fitness and not just that Optimum Health and fitness. She was a competitive golfer, mountain walker and passionate about Yoga – yet was taken at 65 years of age when she was enjoying a full and active life. Sadly, we are hearing more and more about people with a passion for life being diagnosed.”
The Motor Neurone Disease Association provide vital research efforts aimed at finding effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for Motor Neurone Disease. Additionally, the funds will help provide essential care and support services to individuals and families affected by this challenging condition.
Jill expressed gratitude for the support she received from the Conveyancing Foundation and the donations from colleagues and friends. The Conveyancing Foundation Charity Grant Scheme , the first of its kind in the property industry, provided Jill with a grant of £2,000, This significant boost propelled her fundraising total to over £5715, surpassing her initial goal of £350.
Lloyd Davies, Conveyancing Foundation Chairman, expressed his pride in Jill’s achievement and congratulated her on behalf of the Foundation. He also highlighted the significance of the Charity Grant Scheme in enabling the property industry to contribute to their communities positively.
“Our Charity Grant Scheme is the first of its kind in the property industry, and we are incredibly proud of Jill for completing a gruelling 50 miles and raising funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association,” said Lloyd. “With the support of our generous Partners, we look forward to awarding many more Charity Grants in the 2024.”
